About the project

To contribute to the recognition and development of non-formal education in Türkiye through bilateral exchanges and cooperation between Civil Society Organisations in the EU and Türkiye.

Programme :

EU-Turkey Civil Society Dialogue Support Programme (CSD-V).

Specific Objectives:

1. Developing training modules on universal values and social skills that will be added to the list of officially recognized modules in the non-formal education programs of the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey.

2. Enhancing the capacity of local CSOs to design and deliver non-formal learning for their target groups and improving the quality of these trainings.

3. Influencing the general public in Turkey and the EU on the importance and benefits of Turkey’s EU membership in the context of non-formal education.

4. Establishing a suitable foundation for the recognition of Non-formal Education Trainers in Turkey through the establishment of a participatory civil society dialogue.

Main Activities:

Research: Conducting research on existing good practices and ongoing processes concerning the recognition and development of non-formal education in Europe.

Dialogue: Organizing search conferences and focus group meetings in various regions of Turkey to establish a dialogue in the field of non-formal education. Arranging study visits to EU countries for on-site observation of knowledge, experience, and good practices.

Development: Developing training modules on universal values and social skills based on experiential learning methodologies.

Capacity Building: Providing training to local CSOs and their trainers on both experiential learning methodologies and the developed non-formal education modules, thereby enhancing their capacity to become accredited non-formal education providers in their regions.

Dissemination: Producing promotional videos on the benefits of Turkey’s EU membership in the context of non-formal education. Additionally, organizing a final conference to share the project's results.
