About the Project
The Youth Workspace project is a strategic and cooperative project that mainly aims at bringing young people and the business world together through commonly created innovations and enabling them to find common ground for innovative activities. One of the aims of the project is to include young people who are not in education or employment in socio-economic life through non-traditional working methods (remote working, working in common work centers, flexible working, working in different time zones, etc.). This is due to various barriers (special needs, social and economic barriers, family care, etc.) that prevent disadvantaged young people from working opportunities. Innovative work environments can be a solution for young people to adopt new ways of working and entrepreneurship. To create such new synergies, different collaborative solutions and innovative social change in society are needed. So youth workers working with young people should be prepared to address these problems among young people and support their integration into working life. Another aim of the project is to prepare youth workers to work with these young people.
Objectives
-To bring together diverse stakeholders to find common understanding and innovation for intervention to increase young people's readiness for remote work
-To understand the potential to develop skills in youth work and youth work’s potential to provide support
-To learn more about remote work and understand its connection to community and youth work
-To raise awareness for remote work and increase its potential for young people, especially NEETs, who sometimes struggle and face barriers in moving away from home
-To see the approach to remote work, as a concept that transcends the borders of countries, in the practices of different countries.
Remote work is a potential for NEETs, but understanding how we can support this through youth work has not been very clear until now. That's why it was quite important to make this project happen / implement this project internationally. This approach helped us understand the concept of remote work from the perspective of different countries and practices.
